Interesting find in today's news. Seems the Simpson's creator Matt Groening wants to show the world what Bart, Homer, Marge, Lisa and Maggie look like as real HUMANS! They are going to unveil a live action opening sequence some time in the near future. I'm sure it'll be different from the one posted below. I'll definitely post the new one once it's been aired! Yeah, I know! They are all making it such a big deal.. like it hasn't been done before! Stupid fuckas! They need to spend more time online.. then they'd know!
No shit! I mean if they did that, this wouldn't be such a promotional gimmick. I'm telling you, though, they heard about this You Tube piece and thought it a great idea. It's funny too, there's all these rumous circling 'round, how it came to be, originally. Some people (and this is my guess, too) think it was a British promotional tool.. they would definitely have to have the network's (FOX) say so, I think. Matt Groening/Studio Execs probably saw what a big hit it actually turned out to be (with a massive cult following) and decided to do it for the American audiences... And use THAT as a major promotion. I can't imagine the Simpson's needing a promotion like this, but you never know. Ratings may be down (in America).
